Description
A complete set to supply power to a DIY rack. It includes a 4hp power supply with DC power inlet and brick, and 2 bus boards. All the necessary accessories (cables, screws, standoffs) are included as well.
The power specs are the same as the BoardPWR set. This StrongPWR has a 4hp PSU, so it’s very easy to install. BoardPWR doesn’t use rack space at all, but you’ll need a bit more work to install it into your DIY rack.
At APE, we ship the version with angled power connectors. These point outward from the bus board (not upward) so they save space. If you want the version with the straight power connectors, please contact us.

StrongPWR SET – includes 45W of power in 4HP eurorack module (+12V / 2A, -12V / 1.2A, +5V / 1.5A), two Filtered bus boards – each of them has 18 output headers (6 filtered and 12 direct) which ensures that you will be able to power up quite a lot of modules, 60W Meanwell medical type Power brick, 16-16pin flat cables for bus board connection, spacers and screws.
StrongPWR is a powerful, low noise, high efficiency, and low weight PSU for use in conjunction with eurorack systems and portable eurorack cases. Front panel contains a conveniently placed USB connector so you can charge – your smartphone, tablet, supply lamp, or external sequencer. Under normal mode of operation when the power switch is ON, LED indications emit green light. LEDs go out when there is either a malfunction, overload, or short present so you always know when it is safe to work with your system. Panel is made from high-quality CNC milled anodized aluminum. Many electronic parts are of SMD origin. StrongPWR is made on quality PCB with copper thickness of 70um, which ensures high reliability of StrongPWR and minimal losses on PCB routes. It is also possible to connect two StrongPWR sets via a ChainPWR cable and feed two StrongPWRs with only one power brick (we recommend 120W power brick for two StrongPWRs).
Filtered Bus Board is a low profile bus board with extra filtered output headers. Bus board contains 18 or 19 output headers (depends on what kind of bus board you chose). 12 (13) direct headers and 6 filtered headers with LC filters. Filtered headers are specially dedicated to feed analog modules that are sensitive/susceptible to power quality. Filters reject noise caused by PSU and digital modules by 70%. Each power rail is protected against over voltage so your modules and system are safe under all conditions. 90% of the bus board area has only 11mm with inserted connectors. This feature makes Filtered bus board an ideal power distribution solution for skiff cases where depth is a concern.
