Description

Voltage-controlled Dual VCO/LFO/random

The Klavis Twin Waves is a very flexible VCO that packs a punch in a very small package.

You can use it as two separate voices, each with their own V/Oct and modulation CV inputs. You can tune these voices separately, for example a fifth apart, to create one large voice.

Or you can switch one of them to an LFO, that you can use separately or to modulate the voice. Of course, you can also set them both to LFO if you need more LFOs in your system.

In any of these combinations, oscillator 1 can modulate oscillator 2 and vice versa. In the simplest version, one is an LFO modulating the oscillator of the other. But you can have two LFOs that modulate each other. Or two voices that modulate one another at audio rate!

With a huge selection of sounds, from simple sines and triangles to supersaws and synced waves, I found the Twin Waves to be indispensable in any patch. Combined with a small mixer like Klavis’ own Mixwitch or something similar, it creates an easy to use but huge sounding voice. And the flexibility to reconfigure the voices as you wish, just add the finishing touch.
