Dionisi

Description

Dionisi is an amazingly flexible complex oscillator with an extensive modulation matrix. At its core, there are 6 oscillators. You can configure each one separately for audio range or three levels of LFO, for a total of 12 octaves tracking. You can set the waveshape separately as well. Then there are two mixers so you can configure more than one oscillator as a separate voice. But that’s only the beginning!

Every voice has:

• Pitch-perfect tuning, either fixed in Hz or in exact ratios (up to 0.001 precision). Detuning in ct or Hz. Quantiser built-in.
• Exponential and through-zero linear FM, with depth and index
• Phase modulation with initial phase, depth and index
• Four quadrant amplitude modulation with depth, bias and index

As the inputs, you can use:

• 6 CV inputs with attenuator and bias
• 2 CV inputs with attenuator
• Each of the 6 oscillators

This gives you a tremendous patch matrix of possibilities. A number of examples:

• Build complex monosynth sounds with up to 6 oscillators
• You can use two oscillators with linked frequencies, with one doing FM on the other. Or you can do this with 6 oscillators for 6-op FM!
• Set one or more oscillator to LFO to modulate the others
• Use AM with an envelope in as a VCA. Or use AM with an external signal in as a ring mod!
• Use MIDI in for polyphony: each oscillator can use a separate MIDI channel, allowing up to 6 notes polyphony

Dionisi is fully digital for the highest precision. It works at 100KHz with anti-aliased waveforms for that perfect sound. All inputs and outputs are 16-bit resolution, also at 100KHz. 28hp and skiff friendly at 35mm depth.
